The accelerated growth of the pharmaceutical market globally, particularly in the oncology area, has propelled the development and implementation of innovative
therapies, such as immunotherapy, biological therapies and antitumor vaccines. These emerging therapeutic strategies have significantly expanded the arsenal
available for cancer treatment. This progress has been reflected in a 50% increase in global investment in oncological therapies towards the year 2020, compared to a 30% recorded in previous years (1). This trend reveals a sustained commitment to the improvement in survival rates in the face of a pathology that continues to rank as one of the main causes of death worldwide, being particularly critical in countries with limited resources, like Peru, where mortality rates associated with cancer surpass 50%.
